   He was born in  Santiago  de  Cuba, in  April  16, 1951. Graduated  in  the Escuela
Provincial  de  Artes  Plásticas  "José Joaquín Tejada",   in  Santiago  de  Cuba,  he
devoted  to engraving, drawing, painting  and  graphic  design.  
   He collaborated and worked during more than one year in the direction of design
in the E. G .R. E. M. (Recording Company of Cuba).
   He  was  professor  during  a  course  in  the  engraving  specialty  at the National
School of FineArts (E. N. A).
   During  eight  years he was responsible of the headquarters in Design and Color
in  the  National  School  of  Design, where he worked since 1975 to 1983. Later, he
started to live as a professional artist. He reside in  Spain since 1989 till present.
   He has  participated  and  integrated the studies team of design for the magazine
"Carifiesta 79" about the Third Arts Festival of the Caribbean in Havana.
   He  designs  and  carries  out  the Calligraphy  of  the  collection  of  Nueva Trova
records for the E. G. R. E. M.
   He designs and carries out  the  calligraphy  for  the  musical  group IRAKERE, in
ocassion of its first trip to U.S..   
   He  was  advisory   and   founder   of  the  silk  screen  printing  Workshop  "Rene
Potocarrero" in the Cuban Fund of  Cultural  Goods  and member of the Engraving
Workshop at the Plaza de la Cathedral in Havana.  
   It  has  deserved  prizes  and mentions in national and international exhibitions.  
   Some  of  his  work  are  in  the  New Teachers Museum in Dresde City, Germany;
Torre   Baldovina   Museum   in  Santa  Coloma  de  Gramanet,   Barcelona,   Spain;
Municipal  Museum  in  Orense, Spain. National  Museum  in  Cuba.
