In spite of his wide work in graphic design, drawing, painting, the
creation of his own papers and teaching, he is more known
(in the decade of the 70) for is works as engraver and designer.
Only after being located in Spain (at the end of the decade
of the 80) he worked with more dedication in painting and
in the creation of his own papers, without abandoning
the engraving.
Uniting both techniques, Uribazo achieves a very
expressive and personal focus in his paintings and papers.
He deploys a combination of formal languages,
together with a variety of topics as if they be were combined into
the technique, the systematic exercise with a coexistent of the
elaborated material, in search of go figuring out topics until
achieving the fair measure that harmonizes the massage
with the creative image.
He likes and plays with the double sense of words. Maybe for
this reason is that his works have more than one
message, more than a reading, more than a point of
view, in one word, they makes us think.
